Rules for Chanting this Chalisa
- Have your seat in a quiet and a calm place or in a Puja room such that the sanctity is maintained.

- Before reciting, worship maa Durga (Parvati), God Shiva, Ganesha and Kartikeya

Who Wrote Durga Chalisa
There is no clear evidence on who wrote Durga Chalisa. However some people give credits to Devidasa, a name present in last stanza of chalisa. But it can also indicate a credit like the devotee of devi but not a name.
But as the written language is very similar and considered to be Magadhi Prakrit, it might be originated in areas like Bihar, Jharkhand, and Bengal.
